Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a Financial Advisor to provide comprehensive financial planning, investment, and insurance solutions for members. You will partner with branch teams to identify opportunities, grow a book of business, and guide clients toward long-term financial goals through consultative planning.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of advisory experience, active FINRA licenses, and licenses for life and health insurance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of financial advisory/wealth management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required.
• Series 65 or 66 license required.
• Life and Health Insurance licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial planning services to members and prospective members using a goals-based approach.
• Evaluate member financial situations and develop personalized strategies.
• Recommend investment and insurance solutions aligned with goals and circumstances.
• Conduct portfolio reviews and ongoing planning discussions to stay aligned with changing needs.
• Educate members on investment principles, retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and risk management.
• Build trusted relationships through proactive communication, exceptional service, and follow-through.
• Maintain high professional standards and fiduciary responsibility in all interactions.
