Job summary

Neighborhood Service Organization Inc. is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic and operational leadership across Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle and Procurement.

You will report to the President and CEO and guide the organization’s fiscal direction, budgeting, and compliance. The role requires a strong track record in nonprofit finance, at least 10 years in finance-related roles and 5 years in senior leadership, plus CPA/MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting required.
• MBA, MHA and/or CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Finance, Accounting or Auditing including revenue cycle, grant accounting and procurement.
• Minimum 5 years of Finance, Accounting or Auditing leadership at senior director level or above.
• Experience with information systems, reimbursements, nonprofit funding, auditing, budgeting, and tax reporting.
• Experience in managing and training professional and technical staff to meet fiscal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fiscal operations management for the organization, ensuring resources for short- and long-term needs and compliance.
• Lead corporate budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting to funders and the board.
• Coordinate fiscal audits and support management responses and recommendations.
• Serve as fiscal liaison to funders and payers, presenting financial position to leadership and committees.
• Oversee grant accounting, revenue cycle management, and procurement policies and controls.
• Develop and review fiscal policies and internal controls for NSO.
