Sole Construction Partners seeks a Director of Finance to serve as the CFO’s strategic partner and second-in-command, leading budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and operational decision support across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, systems-oriented, data-driven, and capable of building high-performing finance teams, improving processes, and elevating analytical rigor while enabling the CFO to focus on broader enterprise initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with demonstrated FP&A leadership.
• Strong financial modeling skills (required).
• Background in job costing, WIP, and project-based financial reporting strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct, SQL Server, Power BI, and Alteryx is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing finance professionals.

Aufgaben

• Lead the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
• Develop robust financial models to support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and business cases.
• Analyze financial and operational trends to identify performance risks, improvement opportunities, and cost drivers.
• Deliver timely reporting and executive-level insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
• Partner closely with Controllers analyze and report upon job profitability and drivers.
• Support standardization and optimization of financial processes across entities.
• Prepare and present variance analysis with explanations of drivers and actionable recommendations.
• Provide direct coaching, mentorship, and professional development to finance team members.
• Build a culture of analytical excellence, accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Establish clear expectations, structured workflows, and performance development plans.
• Foster collaboration between finance, accounting, and operations teams.
• Partner with operations leadership to translate job performance, schedules, field execution, and cost behavior into financial insight.
• Support development of KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting for executive and operational visibility.
• Work with the CFO to drive financial architecture, systems improvements, and decision-support capabilities.
