Sole Construction Partners seeks a Director of Finance to serve as the CFO’s strategic partner and second-in-command, leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The role emphasizes building a high-performing finance team to support organizational decisions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, strong modeling skills, and proficiency with financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with demonstrated FP&A leadership.
• Strong financial modeling skills (required).
• Background in job costing, WIP, and project-based financial reporting strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct, SQL Server, Power BI, and Alteryx is a strong advantage.

Responsabilités

• Lead the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
• Develop robust financial models to support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and business cases.
• Analyze financial and operational trends to identify performance risks, improvement opportunities, and cost drivers.
• Deliver timely reporting and executive-level insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
• Partner closely with Controllers to analyze and report upon job profitability and drivers.
• Support standardization and optimization of financial processes across entities.
• Prepare and present variance analysis with explanations of drivers and actionable recommendations.
• Provide direct coaching, mentorship, and professional development to finance team members.
• Foster collaboration between finance, accounting, and operations teams.
• Work with the CFO to drive financial architecture, systems improvements, and decision-support capabilities.
