Job summary

ProActivate is seeking a Controller / Director of Finance to lead accounting and strategic finance for a $67M business. This high-impact role reports to executive leadership and partners with ownership to drive financial strategy and growth.

You will own the close, FP&A, budgeting, cash flow, and multi-entity reporting; build dashboards and KPIs; improve systems, and develop the accounting team in collaboration with operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading finance for a company with $30M-$150M in annual revenue
• Experience in construction, pool & spa, home services, specialty trades, field services, distribution, or multi-location/franchise operations
• Strong background in accounting, FP&A, cash management, and multi-entity financial reporting
• Experience with job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion accounting, and ERP systems is highly preferred
• CPA and/or Accounting or Finance degree strongly preferred
• $160K-$220K base salary (dependent on experience and qualifications) plus 15-30% annual performance bonus

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations including financial reporting, close process, controls, and compliance.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, banking relationships, and executive reporting.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs that help ownership make better business decisions.
• Improve systems, processes, and reporting as the company continues to scale.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while partnering closely with operations.
