Job summary

Deltek, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern to join the Strategic Finance & Corporate Development team. Over 8–10 weeks you will own 3–5 projects end-to-end, touching financial modeling, market analysis, and strategic evaluation for executives.

You will work with FP&A, Accounting, Product Management, and the Enterprise Data & Intelligence team, with high exposure to leadership and potential for a full-time Analyst offer after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; rising junior or senior for Summer 2027.
• Proficient in Excel with financial models, data tables, and lookup functions.
• Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals and the three financial statements.
• Familiarity with SaaS and recurring revenue metrics; SQL/Power BI/CapIQ/PitchBook a plus.
• Ability to translate open-ended questions into structured financial analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models in Excel covering recurring revenue, retention, customer profitability, and unit economics.
• Analyze bookings, revenue, and margin trends to inform long-range planning and capital allocation decisions.
• Document assumptions and methodology so models can be extended after the internship ends.
• Support the M&A process: target research, benchmarking, valuation, and due diligence.
• Create market sizing and competitive intelligence analyses using external data and benchmarks.
• Partner with FP&A on ad hoc analyses and translate business questions into structured insights.
• Present completed work to Finance leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
