Deltek, Inc. is offering a finance internship in Tampa within the Cloud & Technology FP&A team. You will gain hands-on experience under real deadlines, supporting month-end close, budgeting, and leadership reporting while delivering a defined summer project.

You will work with Excel-heavy analysis, develop insights from data, and present findings to the team at summer end. This internship emphasizes self-direction, clear communication, and practical finance skills in a software company

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; graduating 2026-2027.
• Comfortable with Excel—modeling, pivots, data manipulation; not an expert, but not afraid of a spreadsheet.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with large datasets while keeping insights clear.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain numbers and their significance.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close—pull, clean, and analyze actuals vs. plan; flag variances and help close commentary.
• Assist with annual budget preparation—support model builds and data validation.
• Develop financial analysis and summaries to support leadership reporting.
• Own a summer project tied to team priorities with a clear deliverable and end-of-summer presentation.
• Present findings to the team and stakeholders at project close.
