Job summary

Deltek, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern to join the Strategic Finance & Corporate Development team, supporting financial analysis, modeling, and M&A work. Over 8 to 10 weeks, you will own 3 to 5 projects end-to-end and collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, Product Management, and data teams.

Rising seniors may receive a full-time Analyst offer after graduation. The role emphasizes building financial models in Excel, analyzing bookings and margins, and presenting insights to Finance leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; rising junior or senior for Summer 2027.
• Proficient in Excel with financial models, data tables, and lookups.
• Solid grasp of accounting basics and how the three financial statements connect; corporate finance or M&A exposure is a plus.
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, retention) and valuation methods; exposure to SQL/BI tools helpful but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Excel-based financial models for recurring revenue, retention, and unit economics.
• Analyze bookings, revenue, and margin trends to inform long-range planning and capital allocation.
• Document assumptions and methodology for model longevity and transfer.
