Job summary

Yellowstone Local, representing Western Utility Telecom, seeks a detail-oriented senior operations and accounting leader to oversee office operations, accounting, payroll, HR, and admin functions at our Reno-area site just outside Reno, Nevada. The role covers the full spectrum from bookkeeping and GL to budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with job costing, manufacturing/project accounting.
• Proficiency with Sage, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the company's accounting system.
• Perform bookkeeping and general ledger activity.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage project accounting and job costing.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow.
• Develop scalable accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Coordinate with leadership on financial planning.
