Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Director, Finance to lead financial strategy for the Engineered Cables business and own budgeting, forecasting, and results analysis. This high‑visibility role partners with Aptiv’s executive leadership to guide long‑term direction, optimize capital allocation, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include long‑range planning, strategic scenario modeling, annual plans, monthly forecasts, and executive‑ready reporting.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate-finance experience, including leadership of multi-site or global FP&A teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Expertise in analytics, forecasting, financial modeling, operations finance, US GAAP, and ERP reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-range financial planning and capital allocation for Engineered Cables.
• Translate strategy into financial targets, operating plans, and performance metrics.
• Direct annual plans, monthly forecasts, and multi-year financial models with executive reporting.
• Partner with Operations to evaluate productivity, labor, and cost reduction.
• Oversee capacity expansion, make-versus-buy analysis, and pricing strategy.
• Ensure timely month-end close and internal controls per US GAAP.
• Manage working capital and cross-site reporting across the globe.
• Coach and develop finance talent and ensure policy compliance.
