Job summary
Aptiv is seeking an Engineering Director to lead multiple automotive engineering teams and deliver advanced automotive products and technologies.
The role provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership across the full product development lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution while collaborating with Product, Manufacturing, Quality, and customers to drive innovation and business results.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive engineering experience within the automotive industry.
- 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles.
- Proven track record leading large, multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business goals and product roadmap.
- Lead and develop managers, technical leaders, and engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
- Oversee the complete product development lifecycle from concept through production launch and sustaining engineering.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards and customer requirements (ASPICE ISO 26262 IATF 16949 Cybersecurity).
- Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and customers to deliver engineering excellence on time and within budget.
