Job summary

Athletics is seeking a Director, Finance in Las Vegas to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in collaboration with ticketing, partnerships, marketing, and operations. The role drives financial analysis, strategic decision-making, and performance optimization across the front office functions.

The ideal candidate brings 6–8+ years in finance/FP&A, strong modeling skills, and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders in a fast-paced sports or revenue-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, management consulting, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in sports, entertainment, or revenue-driven business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning across the organization.
• Partner with department leaders across ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, venue operations, and other functions to manage budgets, monitor performance, and identify growth opportunities.
• Develop financial models and analyses to evaluate revenue initiatives, pricing strategies, capital investments, and new business opportunities.
• Provide dynamic financial forecasting capabilities and recommendations to optimize revenue generation, cost efficiency, and overall business performance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages and financial statements for executive leadership, ownership, tax, and MLB requirements per GAAP.
• Support strategic initiatives, including the Ballpark project, major events, and partnerships.
• Review and approve journal entries, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Establish, enhance, and maintain internal controls, processes, reporting tools, and KPI tracking.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial governance standards, and MLB requirements.
• Identify and lead opportunities to improve transactional efficiency, planning, reporting, and the use of accounting/financial systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Legal, People Operations, Business Strategy, and other teams to align financial goals.
• Lead, develop, and supervise members of the Finance team and drive analytics.
• Lead a high-performing team focused on analytics and strong business partnership.
