Job summary

Passport Health in Phoenix is seeking a technically strong Controller to own day-to-day financial operations and help build scalable processes for growth. This hands-on leader will manage close, policy, controls, and systems modernization while preparing the organization to scale.

You will partner with senior leadership to deliver timely financial reporting and actionable insights across US operations, Canada, and the UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership roles.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and month-end close.
• ERP experience required; Sage Intacct preferred.
• Ability to configure and report from an accounting system.
• Advanced Excel; experience with SQL and BI tools a plus.
• Experience in multi-location healthcare or similar environment preferred.
• Multi-currency and international operations a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close process end-to-end.
• Prepare US GAAP financial statements and reports.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and close activities.
• Improve close procedures, controls, and timelines.
• Deliver reporting packages with variances and drivers to leadership.
• Lead internal controls, compliance, and audits.
• Oversee financial systems and automation initiatives.
• Partner with leaders on financial analysis and business insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
