Job summary

Mile Marker is seeking a Senior Director, Controller to own financial reporting, accounting operations, and controls in a fast-paced agency environment. You will lead day-to-day accounting, build a high-performing team, and scale processes to support growth and M&A activity.

You will partner with the CFO, lenders, and PE sponsors, owning close cycles, audits, and compliance while guiding the accounting function through complex projects and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• CPA required; MBA a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. Controller/Asst Controller roles.
• GAAP knowledge incl. ASC 606 and project-based accounting.
• Experience in private-equity-backed or leveraged environments including covenant reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close process with timely, accurate reporting.
• Manage GL accounting, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee revenue recognition (ASC 606) in project/services contexts.
• Lead payroll, capex planning, depreciation, and fixed-asset subledger.
• Lead annual GAAP audit and maintain internal controls (SOX-lite).
• Oversee treasury, cash management, and 13-week cash forecasting.
• Coordinate debt covenant reporting and lender/PE communications.
• Drive ERP/system integrations and team development.
