Job summary

The Resource Co in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Controller – Strategic Financial Leadership to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. This on-site role offers remote flexibility and high visibility with executive leadership.

You will manage audits, internal controls, tax compliance, cash management, and a dynamic team. A Bachelor's in accounting and 7–10+ years of experience in mid-sized or large organizations is preferred,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience managing accounting operations in a mid-sized or large organization.
• Demonstrated success leading external audits.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and fixed asset management.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Deliver financial reports, KPIs, and management dashboards to executive leadership.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee cash management, banking relationships, reconciliations, and treasury activities.
