Job summary

Aspire Indiana Health is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial governance across the organization.

The Controller will oversee general ledger, accounts payable, financial close, and audit prep while collaborating with the SVP of Finance and the Chief People Officer on payroll governance and compliance. CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and applicable financial accounting standards.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, financial close, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
• Healthcare and/or nonprofit accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and financial close.
• Prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate audit preparation and payroll governance oversight.
• Collaborate with SVP of Finance and Chief People Officer on payroll governance.
