Job summary

AmerCable, a growing fabricator of jacketed electrical cables, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to join its leadership team in Houston. The role reports to the President and serves as the primary finance business partner, guiding profitability, working capital, and strategic investments across Houston and El Dorado.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing finance organization, advance forecasting and reporting, and partner with Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, and HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA designation is required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience partnering with operational leaders as a strategic finance business partner.
• Strong FP&A, cost accounting, reporting, and controllership expertise.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and OneStream; public company accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance advisor to the President and leadership team.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning and monthly reviews.
• Monitor revenue, margins, working capital, and capital expenditures.
• Improve forecast accuracy through robust analysis and engagement.
• Develop and coach a distributed finance organization across multiple sites.
• Provide governance over accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Drive working capital optimization and capital investment governance.
• Influence strategic decisions and partner with operations and commercial teams.
