Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC, a leader in technology and innovation and one of North America's largest wire and cable producers, seeks a Controller to provide authoritative leadership over accounting, financial reporting, controls, and performance optimization in a complex electrical industry environment.

This role interfaces with senior management and cross-functional partners to drive strategic planning, data‑driven decision‑making, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years experience
• 3 years experience within manufacturing is required
• MPAcc or MBA in Accounting or Finance degrees are preferred
• CPA, CMA, CGMA or equivalent professional certification are preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex financial functions in governance and regulatory compliance
• Develop strategy for accounting, financial controls, and performance initiatives
• Oversee financial close processes, reporting accuracy, internal controls, and audit readiness
• Approve financial statements, reconciliations, and key accounting judgments with GAAP
• Implement systems to improve financial reporting, data integrity, and analytics
• Advise senior leadership by interpreting financial results, market data, and trends
• Coordinate with auditors, regulators, financial institutions, and external advisors
• Coach finance and accounting professionals and promote professional development
• Counsel internal stakeholders on financial policies and controls
