Job summary

Pacific Fusion is seeking a Controller to manage all accounting and financial operations, helping engineers and scientists bring our demonstration system online. You will lead a finance function across monthly closes, reporting, and forecasting.

You will build efficient processes, supervise a team of six, and partner with leadership to deliver clear executive summaries and actionable financial insight for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• At least four years of public accounting experience.
• Experience owning the end-to-end month-end close process for a hardware company.
• Experience creating new operational processes and ensuring continued improvement of those processes over time.
• Experience compiling financial details into cohesive and comprehensive executive summaries for consumption by various levels of leadership.

Responsibilities

• Execute a monthly close process, including producing monthly financial statements.
• Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable.
• Produce quarterly financial reporting, including plan‑to‑actuals and associated analysis.
• Work across the finance team to update the corporate forecast each quarter.
• Perform ad hoc analysis as requested to support various leadership initiatives.
• Drive efficiency across financial operations processes.
• Develop and support a team of six accounting personnel.
