Job summary

Pacific Fusion, a California-based clean energy startup, seeks a Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations as the engineering team scales. You will own the monthly close, manage AP/AR/payroll, and produce quarterly reports while building processes and a six-person accounting team.

Qualifications

• Public accounting experience of at least four years.
• Experience owning end-to-end monthly close for a hardware company.
• Experience creating/continuing improvement of operational processes.
• Experience compiling financial details into executive summaries for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Execute a monthly close process including producing monthly financial statements.
• Oversee all aspects of financial operations including accounts payable, payroll and accounts receivable.
• Produce quarterly financial reporting including plan to actuals and associated analysis.
• Update the corporate forecast each quarter with the finance team.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to support leadership initiatives.
• Drive efficiency across financial operations processes.
• Develop and support a team of accounting personnel (six staff).
