Job summary

ClearStar, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Controller in the United States who will drive transformation across the Finance function. The role includes ownership of the close processes, cash management, and tax compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7-10+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of GAAP, and the ability to improve operational efficiency. ClearStar offers competitive pay, including a salary range of $165,000 – $180,000, and benefits such as healthcare and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller‑level responsibility.
• Strong GAAP knowledge with proven close and audit experience.
• Tax experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities across accounting workflows.
• Lead and develop a small accounting team with clear expectations.
