Job summary

Staples' Finance Analytics team is looking for a Senior Analyst II to analyze complex financial data and influence strategic initiatives. You will partner with business leaders to drive profitability and long-term growth.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, forecasting, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver data-driven insights that shape decisions at the highest levels. Ideal candidates exhibit strong presentation skills and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively complex financial analysis experience.
• Experience with planning and analysis systems (SAP/Hyperion).
• SQL and data visualization skills (Power BI/Tableau) with advanced Excel modeling.
• Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support decisions.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports, trends, and forecasts for senior leadership.
• Partner cross-functionally to gather, validate, and analyze data.
• Develop dashboards and models tracking key performance indicators.
• Identify financial risks and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with goals.
• Perform scenario analysis to inform planning and investment decisions.
• Participate in enterprise and special analytics projects.
