Job summary

Staples' Finance Analytics team is looking for a Senior Analyst II to analyze complex financial data and influence strategic initiatives. You will partner with business leaders to drive profitability and long-term growth.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, forecasting, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver data-driven insights that shape decisions at the highest levels. Ideal candidates exhibit strong presentation skills and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively complex financial analysis experience.
• Experience with planning and analysis systems (SAP/Hyperion).
• SQL and data visualization skills (Power BI/Tableau) with advanced Excel modeling.
• Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Join Staples' Finance Analytics team and play a critical role in shaping data-driven business decisions. As a Senior Analyst II, you'll analyze complex financial data, influence strategic initiatives, and partner closely with business leaders to drive profitability and long-term growth.

What’s needed – Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related work experience
• 5+ years of progressively complex experience in financial analysis or related field
• Experience with financial planning and analysis systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion)
• Experience using SQL and/or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling
• Experience analyzing large and complex financial data sets
• Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles

What’s needed – Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Finance or related field
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts
• Exposure to predictive analytics or machine learning tools

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting.
