Job summary

Motional is seeking a self-motivated Financial Analyst to join the Strategic Finance team in Boston. You will bridge financial modeling and operational decision making, reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance to guide initiatives and resource optimization.

You will develop long-range models, refine revenue forecasting with Operations, and translate data into actionable insights for leadership. This role requires collaboration across Strategy, Commercial, Engineering, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience beyond academics.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-range financial models to support strategy and capital allocation.
• Collaborate with Operations to refine revenue forecasting and operating assumptions.
• Extract insights through quantitative analysis, unit economics, and benchmarking.
• Partner with Corporate Strategy, Commercial, Engineering, and Operations on cross-functional projects.
• Prepare slides and present findings to Motional leadership.
