Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst in the Dallas area to apply advanced cash and accrual accounting to prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver financial reports for CBRE clients and properties.

You will ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial packages and forecasts, collaborating across departments. The role requires a Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting, 3+ years of analysis experience, and strong Excel/Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis.
• Skilled with data manipulation and analysis.
• Professional Power BI experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• Ability to structure, plan, manage, and prioritize projects effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Lead development and execution of the rolling forecast aligned with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workforce planning and productivity.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in financial systems and policy interpretation.
• Generate and review financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting.
• Prepare packages on a schedule to ensure timely delivery to the client and other management teams.
• Review and audit funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, and authorization in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Adapt to organizational changes and priorities, maintaining alignment of financial strategies and deliverables.
• Respond to and resolve complex issues and requests from management teams and clients regarding various accounting issues and reports.
• Recognize potential issues and conflicts and take corrective action to minimize issues.
• Facilitate the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
