Job summary

Plaid is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join Corporate Finance in San Francisco, focused on long-range planning, capital structure, SBC and equity modeling, and enterprise strategy. You will partner closely with the CFO, leadership, the Board, Corp Dev, and Accounting on strategic financial decisions.

The role emphasizes advanced financial modeling, executive storytelling, and cross‑functional collaboration in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or related roles with tech exposure.
• Advanced financial modeling for long-range, scenarios, or valuations.
• Strong SaaS/fintech metrics knowledge and external benchmarking.
• Excellent communication and storytelling for executives and the Board.
• Ability to distill complex topics into structured frameworks.
• Autonomous, proactive mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for AI, automation, and scalable financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Own components of Plaid’s 3–5 year long-range plan, model design and target translation.
• Partner on end-to-end PMO of the quarterly Board process with narratives and materials.
• Build SBC and equity modeling, including growth, grants, forfeitures and refresh cycles.
• Lead cash flow forecasting and contingency/management reserve strategy for the total company.
• Benchmark against peers and inform long-term capital and operating decisions.
• Collaborate with Corp Dev on capital raises, pro-forma reporting, and structure analysis.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to influence long-term planning and decisions.
