Job summary

Plaid in San Francisco is seeking a Strategic Finance Lead to partner with Engineering and Product. You will own product-level revenue and gross margin forecasting and build analytical frameworks that guide capital deployment across these areas.

As the Strategic Finance Lead, Product & Engineering, you will lead the finance partnership for critical product areas, working directly with Product and Engineering leaders. You will mentor junior team members and contribute to Board materials.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles at high-growth tech companies.
• Strong understanding of product P&L mechanics and software unit economics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executives.
• Mentorship experience and ability to develop junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Own product-level revenue and gross margin forecasting with robust point of view.
• Partner with Product and Engineering for headcount planning and capacity forecasting.
• Lead recurring KPI reporting, variance analysis, and risk/opportunity identification.
• Coordinate with GTM Finance on go-to-market targets and economics.
• Contribute to quarterly Board decks and executive reviews.
• Mentor junior members of the Strategic Finance team.
