Job summary

MidAtlantic Employers' Association in the Greater Philadelphia Region is seeking a Manager of Finance and Administration to lead finance, accounting, administration, IT oversight, vendor and risk management, and insurance functions. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and sits on the leadership team.

Primary responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, and annual audit coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant credential preferred.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, and nonprofit accounting.
• Experience managing outsourced IT services, technology vendors, software contracts, and cybersecurity activities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial control practices.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting systems, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to move between strategic analysis and hands-on execution.
• Strong judgment, organization, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and administration functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting (GL, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations) and year-end close.
• Manage vendor contracts, insurance, risk management, and IT oversight.
• Coordinate annual audit and Form 990 preparation.
• Develop and enforce financial policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with leaders across departments for informed decision-making.
• Maintain records, contracts, licenses, and related retention schedules.
• Provide timely financial information to leadership and the Board.
