Job summary

UT Health San Antonio seeks an experienced administrator to manage daily operations of a divisional/organizational unit, focusing on administrative and financial management, and representing the department in business affairs to the university community.

The role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic resource allocation within a School of Medicine unit, ensuring compliance and driving efficiency across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare budgets and financial reports for grants, general appropriations, endowments and other funds.
• Plan and direct an organizational unit's financial and administrative management.
• Oversee divisional unit within the School of Medicine.
• Manage all facets and phases of financial and administrative management.
• Oversee general appropriation, endowment, grants, contracts and gift funds.
• Improve business processes ensuring compliance with policies and mission.
• Identify short-term and strategic goals; allocate resources accordingly.
• Control expenditures and accounts to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Direct special projects such as space renovations, staffing, equipment purchases, long-range plans, leasing of off-campus space and services.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
