Job summary

Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma seeks a Deputy Director of Finance/Administration to provide executive leadership across financial and administrative functions. You will supervise department directors, coordinate budgets, and ensure fiscal accountability while managing risk and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, policy implementation, and the ability to handle confidential information with sound judgment. Evening/ weekend meetings and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and substantial executive management experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience in financial, administrative, or governmental operations.
• Experience supervising managers, directors, or professional staff.
• Experience with organizational budgeting, financial administration, personnel management, and administrative compliance.
• Knowledge of financial controls, procurement practices, and organizational policies.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information and exercise sound executive judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership to administrative departments and management.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal performance.
• Coordinate annual budget development with Department Directors and the Finance Department.
• Ensure procurement controls and contract oversight.
• Support internal controls and risk management.
• Promote compliance with grants, audits, and regulatory requirements.
