Job summary

Shift Auto Group seeks a visionary Head of Accounting & Administration to lead financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and strategic planning across a growing dealership network. You will report to the CFO, mentor a multi-unit team, and partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives in Atlantic Canada.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting/finance, strong Excel, and automotive retail experience.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
Advanced Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and OEM reporting
Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
Lead and mentor the accounting team across multiple business units
Help lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, and inventory financing
Support business startups, acquisitions, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Develop financial models, policies, and standardized processes
Maintain strong financial controls and accounting policies
Other duties as may be required
