Job summary

Shift Auto Group is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead two growing automotive operations: ReCar Halifax and Wonder Auto Lower Sackville. You will drive overall performance, profitability, and growth, building strong teams and creating a culture where people and performance align.

You’ll focus on customer opportunity management and inventory performance, coaching leaders to maximize results while spending time with teams to solve problems and optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Must have proven GM-level leadership in automotive retail.
• Ability to grow two dealership-like operations and lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong track record of driving profitability and customer experience.

Shift Auto Group is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the overall performance, profitability, and growth of ReCar Halifax and Wonder Auto Lower Sackville .

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who wants to take ownership of the business, develop strong leaders, and create a culture where people and performance go hand in hand.

The Opportunity

You’ll have overall leadership responsibility across:

• Fixed Operations
• Customer Experience
• People Development

Your focus will be on two key areas:

Customer Opportunity Management
Ensure every opportunity is handled with urgency and consistency from the first inquiry through delivery; while coaching leaders and teams to maximize performance.

Inventory Performance
Ensure vehicles move efficiently from acquisition through reconditioning, merchandising, and retail sale while maintaining quality, controlling aging, and maximizing inventory turn.

This is a hands-on leadership role . You’ll spend your time working alongside your teams, coaching performance, solving problems, removing roadblocks, and ensuring the right processes are being executed every day.
