Job summary

Resource Label Group, LLC (RLG) is seeking an Outside Sales Consultant to build key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, negotiate, close deals and maintain market knowledge. The role emphasizes New Business Development, Customer Retention and Account Planning, with collaboration across departments to service customers end-to-end.

The ideal candidate will be located in/around the Portland, OR area and have ability to travel within a diverse territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of professional sales experience in printing/packaging.
• Experience in vertical markets (food, beverage, wine, pharmaceutical, personal care) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of printing, and prime label/flexible packaging is highly preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to travel within a local territory; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business through strategic prospecting
• Develop plans to expand services with existing accounts
• Identify new customers and project opportunities
• Act as liaison between customer and organization during sales and production
• Establish relationships and understand customers' business and requirements
• Provide regular reporting on customer and industry trends
• Update and maintain sales activity and CRM data
• Maintain regular contact with customers about new products and services
• Forecast and meet monthly and annual sales targets
