Job summary

The Senior Construction Manager at Suntec oversees field performance across multiple projects in Phoenix, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. You will mentor CM staff, coordinate with PMs, and maintain strong GC relationships through proactive leadership.

You will drive workforce planning, develop field leaders, and champion best practices across all sites, while upholding Suntec's standards and client expectations on high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of field leadership in commercial concrete or heavy civil construction.
• Proven track record managing large crews across multiple projects.
• Experience developing field managers and building high performing teams.
• Deep knowledge of concrete construction methods, safety compliance and quality execution.
• Strong communication with GC leadership.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and MS Office; construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field performance across multiple projects and sites, ensuring safety, quality and production targets.
• Lead safety culture, incident investigations, and corrective actions at the company level.
• Establish and enforce quality standards; train staff on quality planning and contract alignment.
• Plan labor deployment and workforce strategy across projects; forecast manpower needs.
• Manage senior GC relationships and represent field capabilities to owners and GCs.
• Foster CM/PM partnership; resolve friction and ensure aligned project outcomes.
• Develop and mentor CM I/II staff; support succession planning and performance management.
