Job summary

The Associate Consultant role targets candidates with strong consulting experience, homeland security interest, and an ability to work across client sites, the DC office, and remote locations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of professional experience (3+ in consulting) and a Public Trust clearance ability.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional work experience, including 3 in consulting.
• Experience in large Federal government or nationwide programs; grants management preferred.
• Able to work remotely and in-person; Washington, DC area
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills

Responsibilities

• Own tasks and workstreams to meet project goals and deliver high-quality solutions
• Manage Federal grant programs, supporting awardees and client staff
• Analyze business problems using interviews, data, to improve processes and structures
• Collaborate with clients and teams to accelerate knowledge and deliver innovative solutions
• Create high-quality deliverables including documents, presentations, dashboards
• Learn mission/business while maintaining attention to detail and exceeding client expectations
• Lead and support projects with clear consulting understanding
• Grow company capabilities and sell new business
• Contribute to a collaborative, learning-focused culture
• Collaborate with clients to deliver outstanding service and mission results
• Apply consulting, business analysis, and communication skills to identify problems and solutions
