TheConsulting Associate applies experience solving consulting problems for Federal clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment on a high-performing team. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of professional experience with at least 3 in consulting. Grants management experience is a plus. They are interested in homeland security clients and emergency management. Experience in homeland security is important!

Arc Aspicio is currently operating in ahybrid work environment where work will be performed at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and remotely - depending on client, contract, and company needs. All candidates must live in the Washington, DC area at time of employment.

Responsibilities

Consulting associates apply strong analytical and technical skills to help implement business solutions. They work closely with clients and internal teams to improve operations, solve problems, deliver strategic insights, and deliver solutions. Their responsibilities include:

  • Take full ownership of tasks and workstreams that contribute to the overall project goals and delivering high-quality solutions
  • Manage Federal grant programs, supporting both awardees and client staff
  • Analyze business problems using interviews, knowledge, context, and quantitative data to identify improvements in processes, organizational structures, and technology for high-priority client initiatives
  • Work closely with clients and teams to build on team and company knowledge to speed up the process for identifying innovative yet practical solutions
  • Create high-quality work products and deliverables including documents, presentations, and data dashboards that allow clients to make decisions
  • Take on new responsibilities and learn the mission/business while maintaining excellent attention to detail, finding ways to exceed client expectations
  • Lead and support projects with a clear understanding of business of consulting
  • Contribute and lead company service areas beyond just the project to build new skills and help the company grow by developing our capabilities and selling new business
  • Contribute to our company culture, which promotes collaboration, learning, and helping others to grow and develop
  • Collaborate with our clients to solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service, and achieving mission results
  • Apply excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients
Required Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience
    • 3 years of consulting experience or comparable analytical experience in a directly relevant business role
  • Experience in large, complex Federal government or other nationwide programs with a preferred focus ongrants and program management
  • Proven to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potential
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person
  • Technologically savvy, especially with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools like SharePoint
  • Desire to join a consulting firm and learn business concepts; loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects
  • Ability to work in the Washington, DC metro area and travel to different locations
  • Clearance: U.S. Citizenship only (no dual citizenship). Currently holds a Public Trust level clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a position of trust/Federal security clearance
  • Critical Skills:Executive presence, leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, collaborative mind-set, excellent problem-solving skills, and interest in working in a consulting firm. Interest in working on assignments outside of one project is strongly desired
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interest in homeland security and emergency management
  • Very strong interest in developing as a consultant to increase leadership ability and project management knowledge and learn business concepts
  • Experience in grants management, program management, and/or performance management
  • Training in project management, data analysis, and consulting
Total Rewards

Salary is just one element of our Total Rewards which includes compensation, benefits, bonuses, professional development, and other career opportunities. The projected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. This range takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets and expertise, experience, education, training, certifications, contract and client requirements (if applicable), and other business and organizational needs. At Arc Aspicio, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
