Job summary

The University of Dayton's UDRI is seeking a Capture Manager to lead strategy for DoD and federal opportunities, coordinating with technical experts, business development, proposal professionals, contracts, pricing, and executive leadership to position opportunities before they enter the formal proposal process.

The role requires deep federal acquisition knowledge, strong relationship-building, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate capabilities into executable pursuit plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, science, communications, management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in business development, capture management, program management, or related activities.
• Experience supporting pricing strategy for competitive federal pursuits.
• Experience using federal market research and business development tools to analyze opportunities and market data.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct supervisory authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead capture activities for complex, competitive federal opportunities across sectors and divisions.
• Coordinate with technical experts, business development, contracts, pricing and executive leadership to shape opportunities before RFPs.
• Translate capabilities and customer relationships into executable pursuit strategies to increase win probability.
• Develop and maintain pursuit plans, customer and competitor analyses, and win strategies.
