Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations of the Duluth, MN site. You will manage HVAC, lighting, security, and other building systems to ensure reliable, safe operations.

You will lead service contracts, coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, and work with landlords or property managers on issues and improvements. Strong knowledge of building systems and decisive action in emergencies are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years experience in facilities or related field.
• Understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and fire suppression.
• Ability to manage facility improvement projects, renovations, or space planning initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with landlords, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to act decisively during facility emergencies to minimize disruption.
• CAD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ready-to-use status of the facility, including HVAC, lighting, security, and building systems.
• Manage service contracts, negotiate terms, monitor performance, and supervise third‑party vendors.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Liaise with building owner/property management to resolve facility issues and discuss improvements.
• Ensure the workplace complies with local safety, fire, and health regulations.
