Job summary

Massachusetts Trial Court is seeking a Deputy Director of Facilities Management and Capital Planning in Boston. The role involves managing MEP maintenance, custodial services, and utilities while overseeing capital projects and contracts for state courthouses.

You will guide environmental health, safety, and sustainability programs across five regions. The position requires a strong background in facilities leadership, budgeting, and process improvement, with occasional travel and after-hours

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, business, or related field.
Seven years of professional experience managing a large facilities portfolio.
Proven ability to train, supervise, and coordinate a large staff.
Experience developing a 5-year preventative maintenance plan.
Proficient in using software to manage building systems and finances.

Responsibilities

Directs and trains five Regional Managers in MEP maintenance, custodial services, and utilities management.
Oversees capital projects, budgets, and contract administration for state courthouses.
Partners with leadership to improve environmental health, safety, and sustainability programs.
Reports monthly on facilities performance and compliance with procedures.
Represents the Director in meetings and manages strategic initiatives.
