The Massachusetts Trial Court is seeking a Deputy Director of Facilities Management and Capital Planning to lead maintenance, custodial services, and capital projects for state courthouses. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, business administration, or similar field.
• Seven years of professional experience managing a large portfolio of facilities.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Experience managing management personnel.
• Proven ability to train, supervise, and coordinate a large staff involved in maintenance, repair, and customer service.
• Ability to plan, execute, and create a 5 year preventative maintenance plan for large portfolio of facilities.
• Proven project management ability for large scale projects.
• Ability to use data to diagnose problems and drive efficiencies.
• Proven ability to use software to manage building systems and financial operations.
• Knowledge of the Massachusetts State Building Code, Plumbing and Gas Code.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and general industry health and safety programs.
• Proven skills in planning, development, and implementation of sustainability programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Completion of CFM, RPA, or PMP certifications preferred.

Aufgaben

• Manage and train the five Regional Managers across MEP maintenance, snow removal, custodial services, utilities, and contracts.
• Assist and support administration of Commonwealth owned and leased courthouses.
• Meet regularly with court leadership to discuss maintenance needs and plan responses.
• Identify efficiencies to improve MEP maintenance, cleanliness, and staff performance.
• Set goals, evaluate staff, and discipline as appropriate with Regional Managers per policies.
• Conduct Facilities Satisfaction Surveys periodically.
• Develop and implement improved Facilities Management processes and procedures.
• Compile monthly reports to ensure compliance with established processes and procedures.
• Recommend corrective action plans for deviations from procedures.
• Oversee Environmental Health and Safety programs.
• Oversee Sustainability and Accelerated Energy Initiatives programs.
• Oversee annual operating budgets for the Facilities Management Department and five regions.
• Ensure monthly fiscal performance of the five regions.
• Guide engineering and environmental staff on Deferred Maintenance priorities and small projects.
• Act as contact for major construction projects with DCAMM.
• Develop standard Fiscal Management Procedures with Purchasing, Accounting, and Contracts.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Ausbildung

Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, business administration, or similar field

Project management experience for large scale facilities projects

Data-driven decision making and reporting

Budget and financial management

Strong communication and leadership
