Job summary

Remote Core Solutions in Paul Smiths, NY is seeking a Director of Facilities Operations to lead all campus facilities management, maintenance, grounds, snow removal, and capital projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of director experience on a campus, strong vendor management, budgeting, and hands-on leadership of a team of 25 union staff.

You will drive process improvements, ensure safety and sustainability, and partner with clients to deliver exceptional service within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Director experience in a campus setting.
• Experience managing external vendors and subcontractors.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, grounds and custodial.
• Clear driving record and valid license.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of capital projects.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Research and implement new processes and technology.
• Conduct client meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Hire and coach staff and service providers to meet service levels within budget.
• Oversee multiple departments at a campus including grounds, environmental services, construction and project management, and maintenance.
