Job summary

You will partner with leaders to translate complex topics into compelling storytelling, oversee awards and recognition efforts, and drive integrated campaigns aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Commercial insurance industry experience required.
• Strong expertise in external communications, media relations and public relations, including earned media strategy, message development, spokesperson support and issues management.
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex business topics into clear messages.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic communications plans that support business objectives and enhance reputation.
• Experience positioning organizations, leaders and subject matter experts through thought leadership and executive visibility programs.
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across organizational levels.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a trusted communications advisor, providing strategic counsel on messaging and stakeholder engagement.
• Develops external communications strategies that support enterprise priorities and business objectives.
• Manages media and public relations programs, including spokesperson preparation and media monitoring.
• Leads CNA's Awards & Recognition program as part of the reputation and thought leadership strategy.
• Executes opportunities to elevate CNA's external profile with executives and subject matter experts.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance visibility through thought leadership, speaking engagements and industry recognition.
• Collaborates with business leaders to create compelling content and storytelling for CNA's market presence.
• Monitors emerging issues and recommends communications strategies and response plans.
• Manages agency relationships and external projects ensuring alignment with brand standards.
• Measures communications performance and analyzes media coverage to optimize future programs.
• Ensures consistent messaging across Marketing & Communications and business teams.
