Servier in the U.S. is seeking an Associate Director, External Communications based in Boston.

The role translates enterprise priorities into clear external messaging and programs, shaping storytelling across channels and initiatives to strengthen the company's reputation. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Communications, you will lead high-quality messaging, collaborate with corporate affairs and agencies, and develop thought leadership opportunities for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 8+ years of corporate communications experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare or related sectors
• Experience leading external communications, corporate narrative, reputation and/or thought leadership programs in a complex or regulated environment
• Exceptional writing, storytelling and message development skills across executive, corporate and external stakeholder audiences
• Ability to operate independently with sound judgment and strong execution in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
• Experience collaborating effectively with senior functional leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
• Combination of agency and in-house biopharma experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and activate external communications strategies translating priorities into clear storytelling across channels
• Support the company’s external corporate narrative and ensure messaging consistency across materials
• Lead development of external communications materials including messaging, statements, leadership content
• Partner with Corporate Affairs and cross-functional stakeholders to align external storytelling with business priorities
• Strengthen external communications processes and best practices as the organization grows
• Execute measurement approaches and track KPIs for enterprise communications initiatives
• Develop thought leadership strategies and visibility opportunities for senior leaders
• Collaborate with external agencies to execute media strategies
• Contribute to communications planning for key corporate milestones
• Monitor the external landscape for reputational opportunities and issues
• Coordinate with global communications colleagues to ensure aligned messaging
