Job summary

TAS Energy Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Purchasing Manager - Expeditors to lead expediting, track deliveries and manage shortages, ensuring on-time material availability to support production.

You will supervise Expeditors, oversee open purchase orders, monitor supplier commitments, and develop recovery plans. A Bachelor's degree and 5 years in purchasing or expediting are required; experience in engineer-to-order environments and APICS/Lean certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years purchasing, expediting, supply chain, or materials management experience.
• Experience in engineer-to-order or make-to-order manufacturing environments.
• APICS certification preferred.
• Lean practitioner experience and ISO-certified manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direct supervision of Expeditors.
• Oversee open purchase order follow-up activities.
• Monitor supplier commitments and delivery performance.
• Develop recovery plans for late or critical materials.
• Develop expediting and standard work processes; drive implementation, standardization and improvements.
• Provide training on program tools and databases to facilitate department goals.
• Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Receiving, Manufacturing, and Project teams.
• Manage shortage reports, exception reports, and delivery escalations.
• Drive supplier corrective actions related to delivery performance.
• Monitor delivery KPIs and material availability metrics.
• Ensure timely communication of material risks to stakeholders.
• Support production schedule adherence through proactive expediting.
