Job summary

Indiana Wesleyan University seeks a Director of Events and Business Development to lead event planning, CRM management, and outbound outreach, ensuring a strong pipeline and strategic partnerships.

You will oversee conferences and partner events, coordinate with Enterprise Learning and the Creative function, and represent Talent Studio to business partners, traveling as needed to build relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales operations, events, business development, or related field.
• Experience coordinating internal and external event logistics and post-event evaluations.
• Proficiency with a CRM platform.
• Ability to travel to events.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfort with relationship-based B2B selling.

Responsibilities

• Plan and staff enterprise events, manage CRM, and drive outreach.
• Attend conferences and partner events; build relationships and move prospects to discovery.
• Own CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce) including data hygiene, workflows, and reporting.
• Support social media and online event campaigns; track pipeline health and conversion.
• Represent Talent Studio to business and association partners; ensure no opportunity is missed.
