Job summary

The Little Rock Marriott in downtown Little Rock is seeking an Event Planning Manager to coordinate all aspects of meetings and banquets from planning through execution. You will act as a liaison between clients and the hotel sales team to ensure flawless events.

You’ll be available on-site during events to resolve issues, manage group room blocks, food and beverage, and billing, while supporting guests and catering staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
• 1-year food and beverage experience.
• Strong negotiation and interpretation of contracts.
• Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
• Present a professional appearance and confidence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members.
• Strong time management skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of events from initial planning to execution to ensure memorable guest experiences.
• Act as a liaison between the customer and hotel sales team to provide direction during event execution.
• Be available to customers during events to resolve problems and suggest alternatives to arrangements.
• Directly serve group and catering customers, handling logistics of group room blocks, food & beverage, public meeting space, and billing processes.
