Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems in Franklin, TN is seeking an Estimator to develop internal cost estimates, request bids, and support bid strategy. You will build cost models, lead supplier communications, and collaborate with engineering and purchasing to meet project needs.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience and a college degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering, or equivalent. This role offers a challenging environment with multiple projects and opportunities for process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant estimating experience in Material Handling.
• Experience with estimating mechanical installation costs and conveyor projects.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to develop new forms and tools.

Responsibilities

• Support Pre-Contract and Operations with project costs and pricing objectives.
• Develop estimates using past data, analytics, and metrics.
• Create bid comparisons using data analysis tools.
• Lead supplier relations and bidding strategies.
• Develop RFQ documentation for suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Lead development and presentation of cost models.
• Assist in submission of bid projects and populate customer documents.
• Build tools to improve estimating efficiency.
• Lead internal review meetings and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering and Purchasing to meet project scopes.
