Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and scopes of work to develop accurate project budgets.
• Solicit, level, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Develop bid packages and ensure appropriate trade coverage.
• Identify scope gaps, pricing discrepancies, and potential cost risks before construction.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trade partners.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with vendors and subcontractors.
• Support purchasing activities, including purchase orders and procurement schedules.
• Partner with project managers to maintain cost accuracy from preconstruction through execution.
• Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.
• Monitor pricing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain estimating, bidding, purchasing, and contract documentation.
