Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks an ERISA & Employee Benefits Counsel to act as a principal advisor on ERISA, fiduciary governance, and related tax matters for HP’s U.S. retirement and health programs.

You will guide plan design, compliance, and governance strategies while coordinating with Legal, Total Rewards, HR, Finance, Tax, and other stakeholders. The role requires a JD and 10+ years of experience advising sophisticated employers on complex employee benefits matters, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• Significant ERISA and employee benefits experience in large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal legal advisor to internal clients and fiduciary committees on ERISA and employee benefits.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on retirement and health/welfare plan governance and amendments.
• Advise on fiduciary duties, plan asset considerations, and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Lead complex benefits projects, due diligence for mergers/acquisitions, and governance policy development.
