Job summary

The ECS Group of Companies seeks an Environmental Senior Project Manager to lead complex environmental consulting projects across asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality initiatives. You will manage proposals, schedules, budgets, and client communications while mentoring staff and ensuring safety, profitability, and adherence to ECS standards.

You will oversee project teams, coordinate subcontractors, review deliverables, and conduct senior-level technical reviews.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in environmental consulting or similar field.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or related discipline.
• Ability to obtain a local license within three months of hire; additional licensure may be required.
• Extensive knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, and consulting practices.
• Strong project management, leadership, and financial management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently and build client relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; reviews of others' technical work.
• Proven business development and client growth capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage environmental consulting projects from proposal to closeout.
• Serve as primary client contact and communicate findings and recommendations.
• Mentor technical staff and support professional development.
• Direct subcontractors and field personnel; oversee scheduling and budgeting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and technical quality across projects.
• Perform Phase I ESAs and review Phase I ESA reports prepared by juniors.
• Oversee project change orders, budgeting adjustments, invoicing, and collections.
• Maintain and expand client relationships and new business opportunities.
